V.Integration of Education for Sustainable development to Literature
Philippine Literature focuses on the dimensional approach in teaching and learning. It covers the four dimensional approaches: literal comprehension, interpretation, critical evaluation and application and integration.
Philippine Literature comprises a sampling from the different regions in our country, so that the students may have sense of literary history and culture context. With the appreciation, interpretation and understanding of the heart body and soul of the different master pieces in which we know also lie the very heart, body and soul of the Filipino people. This is for the awareness and feeling of ourselves as individual beings and as Filipinos.
The learning about the Philippine Literature seeks to develop values that are inevitably formed from ideas. These extend to the students opportunities to acquire, choose, compare and integrate values and ideals and formulate standards of character and conduct.

111. Literature as a Platform in Education for Sustainable Development
When classes starts for the 1st semester for the school year 2011-2012, I was very happy because almost 1 year left,I consider my self to be one of the graduating students of this good institution. As the classes formally started,I get worried because,I wasn't enrolled the Philippine Literature (Lit111), but when adding and dropping scheduled, I preferably enroll it as one of my subject. First, I was shy when I entering in our classroom because,my classmates are new in my eyes, and I don't know how to get closer from them. One side of my mind says that you can do it josua,it was just a challenge on how to mingle with other person but one side of my mind says that, you cannot do it ,they will only judge your personality and discriminate you. But the good mind will remain outstanding, and I get inside our classroom with a self confident and a smile, charl!!may ganung factor..?hmmp...then later on, I observe and I noticed that my new classmate was a friendly one and approchable...nagkamali ako don ha!!hehehe..
I started to get closer to them,we share laugh, experiences, etc. from each other. Also I admire our teacher, why?,it is because, aside from being a intelligent and informative one, he is a person which is.....hindi ko ma explain, hehe, basta he is good and happy teacher, I learn a lot from him,if what is literature is all about, how important is it in our lives, how literature shape our lives and makes us human, also on how it encourages us to assist creative talented people who are in need.
I admit that PHILIPPINE LITERATURE is one of my favorite subject, and that is because of my favorite teacher named MR.CHRISTOPHER BLASURCA.....I am happy to be one of his students.
Thant you.......
God bless....!!
